Principal's Welcome

It is an honor to serve as the principal of Whitehaven Elementary STEM Academy. Thank you for all the support from parents, teachers, staff and community.
During the course of this year, we will expand the process of striving for excellence by empowering each student to lead productive and fulfilling lives. Together, let us facilitate a dynamic educational program (STEM) laced with new challenges and traditions so that we can prepare resilient, skillful, and committed individuals in our competitive, global society.
S.T.E.M. is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, and a STEM School focuses on these subjects to help our nation's youth gain the skills required to succeed in today's challenging world. This includes the ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and drive advancements in science and technology.
At Whitehaven Elementary, we are committed to develop positive relationships with our students, parents, and guardians to ensure the students at Whitehaven Elementary STEM Academy believe, achieve, and succeed in a global society. It truly "takes a village to raise a child," and this is evident through the collaborative partnership of parents, teachers, students and community leaders who enhance our instructional program and recognize student and teacher achievement.

Our Vision
Whitehaven Elementary STEM School inspires to provide our students with innovative tools and modern features, taking creative learning to the next level. Promoting high standards for academic achievement, creativity and cooperative learning through a unique and integrated learning experience in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math that will generate college and career-ready students.
At Whitehaven Elementary our assignment is to Engage, Educate, & Empower, every student every day. Delivering a world-class education by promoting positive relationships, we strive to have our students, parents, teachers and community members actively involved on our students’ learning. We’re ensuring college and career readiness for the next generation of innovators.

In this school, we believe that integrating STEM is the right approach to excite young learners in today’s technical world. STEM promotes higher-level thinking, problem-solving skills and creativity.
